Take a windbreak if you don't want sand in your face. However, on the very sunny days the wind did drop. The beach near the site is just minutes' walk away, has a small car park just in case you don't want to lug all your kit and a little children's play area but no bar or cafe or toilets. Our kids just want to dig and find shells and I like to sit and read so the beach was adequate for that - when we weren't getting whipped by sand storms!!
If you drive or cycle the short minutes in car distance to St Brevin L'Ocean you'll find a small beach resort with two beach cafes, plenty of parking and lounger hire. I have to say the St Brevin coast didn't really blow me away. Didn't really like the beach. However, had I had teenagers with Boogie Boards I bet they would have loved rocking around in the waves. Not an issue as there were lots of other parents there to talk to and share tips on where to eat, where to visit etc. The play items were very clean and the children loved their 2-hours play 1 hour in the morning, one in the early evening.
They also liked the creative activities such as colouring, drawing and sticking which were laid on by the ever patient Janice. If there was a downpoint to Bubbles it was that the room was quite small. For obvious reasons, on the rainy days, there were a lot of people in the room, my 1-year-old, who is still a crawler, was often mown down by the older children on their trikes and ride-on cars.
It's also upstairs which was a bit of a challenge with two children and a pushchair. On the really sunny days we just stayed by the pool and didn't go to Bubbles. I can't imagine we were the only ones.
We had a coffee and a glass of wine on the terrace most days and paid about Euros for each. Ice Creams were also about 2 Euros on average. I thought these prices were average although the glasses of wine and coffee were about half the size you would expect in the UK! The on-site shop stocked the essentials and a bit more such as breakfast cereal, milk, fruit, vegetables, pasta, biscuits, cheese etc.
It was more expensive than the supermarkets but again, I'd expect this. We got fresh croissants and a baguette about 1 euro each and a UK paper 2 Euros every day. We didn't sample any of the evening entertainment but I know on previous Siblu holidays the kids have loved it. In our view the food at the SuperU is nicer, it's cheaper and is better quality. It's a lovely little town to wander around, very cosmopolitan.follow site
We went twice, once in the day for a wander and again at the end of our holiday for a seafood evening meal on the harbour front. Very pretty. Most places had set menus so you could stay in control of the budget. Nowhere in France appears to serve before 7pm which was late for our children and meant we had to give them a mini-tea to get them through. If it's a sunny day and you can cope with parking chaos it's worth a quick visit to the St Brevin Sunday Market which is held in St Brevin le Pins on the site of the SuperU car park.
The market market is a much of a muchness but in the food section you can get your hands on some lovely fresh food such as paella, roast chicken, some geat cheeses, wines and meats to take home and scoff. However, expect traffic chaos and the local police handing out tickets to those illegally parked so make sure you park in a proper car park if you drive to the right hand side of the super U and take a right turn just at the end of the supermarket you'll find a space car park at the end of the road.

However, the miserable start and lack of 'wet weather' things to do on site made it a bit of a challenge. When the sun shone, the site was perfect for us and our children, the caravan was immaculate and the staff great. We think we'll definitely go back to a Siblu park next year as we've just been so happy with them and we LOVE France as a destination. However, we'll probably chose one with an indoor pool just in case it rains again!!
